It is pretty clear at this point, that whoever ballot for Nan Hua will have to go thru the 1:4 balloting on Next Tuesday 9AM.
Whoever failed to go in Nan Hua, will mostly go into Pei Tong. This is indeed a very good outcome. It is either you go in Nan Hua or you go in Pei Tong.
So, parents has prepared the kid somehow to go into Nan Hua, and if they failed to go in, these kids will be friends in Pei Tong. Hopefully these students in Pei Tong will help Pei Tong score a nice record in the next 6 years.
Whatever outcome it is, we should be proud of ourselves taking part (the first time) in this P1 registration. Whatever we do it is the best for our kids. Of course, during the course, you may need to scarifies your second backup and third backup, but at least the kids till have a place to go.

Especially you take a look at Rulang Primary School. It is 1:6 balloting. Very tough indeed.
I still think the increasing of people outside > 2KM and wanted to go into Nan Hua School is a concern. Means, the school reputation is too good, that is why a lot of parents even they don't stay here, they wanted to get their kids into Nan Hua. Look at the past three years statistics. Although this year, priority was given to Singaporean, but the balloting seats left with 16 seats only after 2B.
One of the interesting thing that the parent observed on KiasuParent.com is quite true. 63 people register for 16 seats. Not every one get a 25% chances thru out the balloting.
So, wow, if you are balloting for seat #14, each of the remaining registered student have only 6% chance to get it.
So, I say forget thinking about it. It is just like 4D, TOTO or Big Sweep! Buy the ticket and wait for your chance and your luck.
So, if you think it that way, your odd is pretty good. Hahahaha
So it is said that people with common interest always somehow will gathered together. And with this balloting, those who got ballot out has no choice and have to gathered into Pei Tong. So, hope that these group of students will become very good friends in the Primary School and excel in the future.

战国时期，齐国有一位著名的学者名叫淳于髡。他博学多才，能言善辩，被任命为齐国的大夫。他经常利用寓言故事、民间传说、山野轶闻来劝谏齐王，而不是通过讲大道理来说服他，却往往能收到意想不到的效果。有一次，齐宣王想攻打魏国，积极调动军队，征集粮草补充兵源，使得国库空虚，民间穷困，有的百姓已经逃到其它国家去了。淳于髡对此十分忧虑，他就去求见齐宣王．齐宣王爱听故事，淳于髡投其所好，说：“臣最近听到一个故事，想讲给大王听、”齐宣王说“好啊，寡人好久没听先生讲故事了、”淳于髡说；“有一条叫韩子卢的黑狗，是普天下跑得最快的狗。有一只叫东郭逡的兔子，是四海内最狡猾的兔子、有一天，韩子卢追逐东郭逡，绕着山跑了三圈，又翻山顶来回追了五趟，兔子在前面跑得精疲力尽，狗在后面追得力尽精疲，双双累死在山腰，一个农夫看见了，没花一点力气，就独自得到了这个便宜、”齐宣王听出淳于髡语中有话，就笑着说；“先生想教我什么呢？”淳于髡说；“现在齐、魏两国相持不下，双方的军队都很疲惫，两国的百姓深受其害，恐怕秦、楚等强国正在后面等着，像老农一样准备捡便宜呢。”齐宣公听了，认为很有道理，就下令停止进攻魏国。
齐宣王喜欢招贤纳士，于是让淳于髡举荐人才。淳于髡一天之内接连向齐宣王推荐了7位贤能之士。
齐宣王很惊讶，就问淳于髡说：“寡人听说，人才是很难得的，如果一千年之内能找到一位贤人，那贤人就好像多得像肩并肩站着一样；如果一百年能出现一个圣人，那圣人就像脚跟挨着脚跟来到一样、现在，你一天之内就推荐了7个贤士，那贤士是不是太多了？”
淳于髡回答说“不能这样说。要知道，同类的鸟儿总聚在一起飞翔，同类的野兽总是聚在一起行动。人们要寻找柴胡、桔梗这类药材，如果到水泽洼地去找，恐怕永远也找不到；要是到梁文山的背面去找，那就可以成车地找到、这是因为天下同类的事物，总是要相聚在一起的。我淳于髡大既也算个贤士，所以让我举荐贤士，就如同在黄河里取水，在燧石中取火一样容易、我还要给您再推荐一些贤士，何止这七个！”
