Angry Bird Birthday Cake

Few weeks ago, I tried to design and order an Angry Bird Cake from Cheryl Shuen.  The quote came back is >$400.  I don't think I want to afford such an expensive cake.  So, I decided to buy from Ms. Estee Chan.

This is my son's birthday cake for his school celebration.

The birds are angry.  So as the slingshot!

And the pigs looks very scared.  It's Jay Jay's birthday!

The aim of the game is to use the slingshots with any bird, to hit the green pig standing at the target area there.  Every single bird can be fired/shoot.  But let's don't waste the delicious birds.  :)

Let's switch the focusing... Yeap... me, the red bird is flying...

As usual, the birthday boy with a big smile on his face.

I specially requested the cakes to have more angry birds...

So that all 18 class mates in his class will have one angry bird each.

It's nice to have one whole row of cakes in the plates and each have an angry bird in it.

Kay Kay has two birds.

And the birthday boy has a king size red bird, yellow bird and a pig in there.

Jay Jay has lots of fun today.  Happy 5th Birthday Jay Jay.

Oh ya... I only allow Jay Jay to shoot 1 time with the red bird.  And he launched the red bird into the cake.  But because it is a school celebration, and we do not want the hard work of cleaning up the mess, otherwise, every kids suppose to get a chance to shoot at the pigs.  HaHaHa... But Jay has a lot of fun already.

A lot of people asked me where I ordered my Angry Bird Birthday Cake.  I got the cake from her.

The Angry Bird Kite

A boy who has waited almost 20 days to save $1 each day to buy this kite.

A kite that is quite big for his size.

And his little brother also wanted to play with this kite.

OK.  Let it go.

And there you go.  Up up in the sky.

And it sure can go very high up in the sky.

It runs almost 2/3 of my strings and it is still flying strong in the sky.

And now, the owner of the kite holding it!

It is time to retrieve all the lines.  That is hard work!

and we cannot get Kay Kay's kite flying at all.  Cheap $6.50 kite.

Some how the design of the kites got problem.

We went to West Coast Park to fly kite.

We had our breakfast there.

Yup.  McDonald.

Not so many people there.  These group is training in their frisbies skill.

Lots of sand play for the kids.

Fun place to play.

Jay enjoys it.

And it is also a very EXPENSIVE place to play.  Because I lost my Tissot watch somehow, there at the sand play.  I still wearing it (from the pictures) when I flew the kites, and somehow, I lost it when I get back to the car.  OUCH!!!!!!

 

 

 

Angry Bird-day Cake

May I present my 2011 Birthday Cake - "The Angry Bird-day Cake"

If you wonder what are the two poles doing there... Hmm... That is the elastic catapult... to shoot the pig at the cake...

Shoot what again?  The pig in that center of the block house...

It is not as colorful as Cheryl Shuen's cake, but the creativity is there.  Wait till you see the later part...

Now, how angry is this birthday cake?

By the way, the elastic catapult on the 2 poles actually works!  You can shoot the golden egg (not angry bird?) at the pic (not green piggy?) in the block house there... The aim is to shoot it down.. LOL, later you found in the video, there are toothpick in the block... to hold the structure... hahahahahahahahahahaha
