Kansuiro Meals - Day 2

Date: May 14, 2011

We were told to wake up at 7:30am so that futon can be kept, and they can start serving breakfast at 8am. But the kids woke us up around 6am, as the sun came out around 5:30am... The river sounds is very nice...

Okay, Jay got his breakfast....

And this is ours....

Again, they served the steam rice too...

As fall the dinner, since it is the second day stay, usually, the food is nicer and more special, and more expensive. We arrived at the Ryokan at 5:20pm, just in time for our onsen bath and food. But first, let's have the sweets, what is it?

Oh, nice.... Is sweet, can't tell what is it... Almost eaten my wife portion.

At 6pm, the dinner is served. Appetizer...

Jay Jay and Kay Kay will share this single portion kids meal... Yes, the melon....

The soup comes with gold flakes. It is said that eating gold will bring prosperity.

Ok, some sort of exotic sea snails...

The whole shell placed on top of the fine sea salt... Do they really always waste so much ingredient?

The Hokkaido crabs? Very sweet.

Of course did not forget my beer.

A boiled fish with sweet sauces like the unagi...

The tempura... With very nice prawns...

Finishing soup...

Oh... The Hokkaido melon, selling at 6000-8000 yen here...

Ok Jay, pour some beer for Papa..

We had a great dinner with well controlled appetite, and able to finish everything. The kids snapped all our melons...

Haha... After dinner, we go walk walk in the onsen garden, drink some spring water there, and the Futon are ready, good night.

Nice and comfortable...
