Last Saturday, we went to Garden by the Bay.  The garden has opened to public for the second day.

Jay has a lot of patterns when taking photo.  This is his look to the sky look.

Today, I will use my Lytro too.  But beware that it is a light field camera, and it may not have enough lights for me to take good photos on that day.  There isn't much sun in the morning.

Jay Jay again, with lots of patterns when taking photos...

Jay Jay actually is holding Kay Kay up in the air.  Wow.

The garden is actually quite big.  Since we have 3 seniors with us, so, we decided to only visit the Dooms today.

Kay Kay feels happy after the walk.

WOW!  The admission tickets is actually NOT CHEAP!  But take a look at the Annual Pass, $180 for family of 5.  That is a great deal, and I REGRET for not getting it!  Later I tell you why!

Our tickets.  2 Adults, 1 kid (Kay Kay is free until 3),

They places a lot of animal scultures here and there.  Jay Jay likes to sit on the Elephant.

Kay Kay wanted to throw a ball at me.

IMG_1809.jpg

we first visit the Cloud Doom.  And this is the MUST visit doom in my opinion.  Actually there isn't much things to visit in here.  But because of the cooling weather inside the doom, it is worth to get the Annual Pass.  Simply spent 2-3 hours here, reading books on the chair, I think it is a great enjoyment.  The weather inside the Cloud Doom is cooling, no need to wear jackets.  And it feels just like Cameron Highlands, etc.

You can go up to the sixth floor, and then, walk down the tree top walk.

IMG_1818.jpg

But what I like the most is the misty weather which happen every 2-3 hours.  When this happen, the whole place is a bit moisturely wet.  And the feeling is the best at this time.

IMG_1822.jpg

That is what I meant.  Lie down here, doing nothing, simply enjoy the faint sunlight, and the great cooling mist.  It is fun and great!  Later, when I walked out the Cloud Doom, the sun was scorching.

IMG_1828.JPG

Climb so high only to watch the Singapore Flyer.

IMG_8803.jpg

I think KoKo please better hold on to Kay Kay.  Don't let him fall down.

IMG_1839.JPG

There are quite some interative info available to talk about Earth, the Carbon, waste, energy etc.

IMG_8809.jpg

Explaining how the Super Trees collect rain water.  How it collect the sunlight and light up the Garden at night.

IMG_8811.jpg

All these info kiosk are quite informative.  The kids likes it.

IMG_8813.jpg

I only got one question about this man made park.  Does it have enough insects to feed these plants?  I also did not see a lot of birds and butterflies.  Hmmm...

IMG_8816.jpg

Later we walked to the Flower Doom.  Lots of flowers in there.

IMG_1858.JPG

Lots of Cactus too.

IMG_1857.JPG

We have not visit the Super Trees yet.  But so far the two dooms is OK.  And I recommend to do a Anual Pass so that you can come in to wash away all the heat from outside.  hahaha
