A Shark Fin That is OK to Eat

Date: Jan 25, 2012

Ok. Thanks to my wife's mom family uncles and auntie... I got to eat at a very interesting local Restaurant.

I know I know, we should not eat Shark Fin, but this one is different.

The shark is caught by local fishing boat. The uncle had a few fishing boat, and the caught a small shark.

The fin is big, and nice. Of course, this is not shark fin fishermen. They don't cut the fin and throw the fish back into the water live.

So, this shark fin soup is cooked with shark meat and bone together with the dried scallop and crab meat.

It is the most tastiest shark fin I had ever had and the most natural soup.

So, the key idea is, if you know where the shark fin is from and you know you are eating the whole shark, instead of only harvesting the fin and let the shark slowly die. Then, I guess you feel better to eat it.

Here is the rest of the food from Kokee (国际海鲜餐馆)at Pantai Remis.

The 琵琶鸭.

Ok, the 长辈席 of the four tables.

The very tasty soup that has abalone, fish maw, dried scallop and lots of ingredient. Very nice. Mr. Jay drank 3 bowls.

And under these ingredient, a big chicken under it.

Very sweet Bak Choy.

The Ngo-Hu 麻油鱼.

The real sea prawns. Caught by the fishing boat at Indonesia sea water. The meat is quite crunchy and nice. All the sea food are supplied by the two uncles that raise and catch fishes.

I believed this is the shark meat and the Ngo-Hu fish with sotong.

And lastly, the oh-nee.

Of course after the big meal, the kids like to play the IOS devices after that.

I enjoyed the big feast a lot because all the seafood are own seafood caught from the sea, and it is very fresh as you get to choose the best from the whole catching.
