Gardener's Day Out

Date: Sep 17, 2011

It is the first day of Garderner's Day Out event @ Hort Park.

Mommy wanted to come and listen to the seminar/talk about how to keep your Orchids alive in a high rise building.  Early in the morning, the kids are out to Hort Park to have fun!

Of course there are some activities for the kids to do.

IMG_1166.jpgIMG_1167.jpg

And of course there are photo competitions too.

In Hort Park, there is this living house that has lots of plants in it.

This is where you teach them, about plants and all kind of things.

Next... the Yellow Birds taking photo with the Yellow wall.

At the back of the Hort Park, there are a butterfly park, as well as the children playground.  And Kay Kay loves to play there.

I love this photo, as the way how Kay stood there, looks like his brother, Jay.  Now you come to think of it, he is now 2 years old.  Time flies.

IMG_1215.JPG

Yes, that is Kay all right.  He loves to climb the ladder.

And of course, Kay loves the slides.

There we go... weeeeee

IMG_1202.jpgIMG_1203.jpgIMG_1204.jpgIMG_1205.jpg

Yipeeee!

IMG_1206.jpg

Adventerous Kay trying Rock Climbing.

IMG_1209.jpg

Not very successful though....

IMG_1210.jpgIMG_1211.jpgIMG_1212.jpg

Its time to drink lots of lots of water...

IMG_1220.jpgIMG_1221.jpg

Don't take photo.

IMG_1226.jpg

Satisfy... after drinking the water... reallly satisfy... hahaha

IMG_1227.jpgIMG_1228.jpg

Of course, feeding fish is still a hobby for the kids.  But the one that we like is still at the Lim Chu Kang, beside the Goat Milk farm.

IMG_1229.JPG

Kids will always love to feed the fish.

IMG_1230.jpgIMG_1236.jpg

OK.  Spending the time playing with kids is fun!  But the Gardener's Day Out event is rather dissappointing.  I think they should bring in more flowers, gardens supplier.  Also, the kids event is also quite little.

IMG_1168.jpgIMG_1169.jpgIMG_1170.jpg

I think the NParks can do much better.

IMG_1171.jpgIMG_1172.jpgIMG_1173.jpg

Let's hope to see more garden show next year.  Also the butterfly garden is SO SMALL.  It has nothing to compare with the one we have seen in Cameron Highlands.  :)
