Date: Oct 22, 2011
Today is October 22, there is the Farmer's Market @ The Quayside.
It is from the same stores we have seen on Loewen Garden, with a few new one.
Oh-no... My chicken pie almost running out. I bought 3 pies today. :) They have a small eatery shop at Loewen Garden.
I love the chicken pie. :)
Last week, I forgot to buy this. This is actually a French breed melon, and it was breeded in Cameron Highlands. This is definitely cheap! $6 only for 1. It is a red meat, and sweet and soft. It will goes very well with my ham.
Of course these melon is cheap! I certainly cannot afford the Melon from Hokkaido, Japan. Those are selling at $99 satu biji. WOW! Jaw dropped. You sure Japanese buy these? (We saw this at the Liang Court Super Market there)...
We got the melon, of course we got to have the ham from Spanish. 2.5 yeaers. :)
It's call a Jamon Iberico. I called it "Ham".
We came back for these Jamon Iberico. Very nice, especially the white color fatty part.
OK. What is she up to at the Little Provence?
Oh... She buying more Olive Oil?
She tasted this, and said, "It is better than the last week one... " And she bought 4 tin cans of different Olive Oil.
I tasted the white wine from Provence. It is actually quite fruity, dark color berries, not so acidic, very nice and smooth drinking and yet, not to bad finishing.
Oh... they also have a 2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape... Nice... He advise to let it breathe for at least 1/2 hour. Every 25 minutes, the wine will taste differently!
So, I end up buying this... For Christmas parties...
Of course, how can we come here without eating the Paella... hahaha
So, we end up ordering 3x Paella for ourselves...
The best thing is, I went back to the Little Provence, and ask for 2 shots of that White Wine... And He is kind enough to give it to me. Love it! It goes so well with the Paella. :)
I have been watching her, so, the secret ingredient is that super duper soup? That she pour into the Paella during the cooking?
This is the white wine he sell. Very nice and well balanced, smooth and fruity.
Its an organic wine. They put much lesser suphur into the wine making too.
We enjoyed the Paella, the wine, and the food there.
Here is the next one. November 5, 2011. Back to the Loewen Garden again!
