I have this putting mat at home.  

It comes with some very shallow holes.  (about 1-2mm heights)

I also got a few boxes of “Goli-es” (Marbles).

You can set up all kinds of rules.

We bought this from the Best Toy Shop.  It is a marble counting system.  You shoot the marbles from far, and landed on the hole with points marked on it.

He shoot so many onto it.

I have this golf putting cup.  So, all you do is to roll the goli up the slope, and it will automatically roll down to the hole.

The shallow golf holes are not easy, ok!  If you roll it too hard, it will come out. 

Like that, the kids play goli for the whole night.  HaHaHaHa

Mini Express Train Ride @ Vivocity

There is this small little train ride available at Vivocity.  They just open last month, and now they still offering at $5 per train ride.

It opens daily from 10am to 10pm.  It's first of the kind in Singapore, accept last time you saw it in Zoo or Bird Park or Sentosa.

It looks like a steam engine.

I think it runs on petrol gasoline.

You can sit 12-14 kids inside. 

Of course Adults can sit in too.

My kids love to sit on the train so much.  That is why we always bring the kids to Japan for holiday.  Because they can sit on the Shinkansen for many hours.

I think Singapore, as a tourism, should have more of such train ride, or small little amazing rides that can keep the kids happy.

Kay Kay was amaze with it too.

A X'Mas Children Gathering…

WOW!  Big Spender.  Baby First month party, spend S$10,000.  That is a lot.  How much will these people spent to hold X'mas party?

A more cost effective way is to have a small party at home, invite those with similar age kids.  Then, your kids can start to meet up with other new kids.

Some of the kid can learn new toy.  i.e. Beyblades.

The kid can spent hours in playing the toys.  And where is the parents?  They were busying chit chat, drinking nice wine, eat Char Siew, and Siew Bak and Cheese and tomatoes at the dinning table.

Some toys can really keep the kids playing for hours.

They will take turns to push their car here and there.

Even bigger kids will enjoy it.

Bigger kids can come up with their creativity to build a train track, like this one.  That goes around the table.

Two layers with a bit of complex tracks.

Big Kids who are only 1 year apart found their playing partners.  Look at the Big Jay, and the Small Jay.  Having fun together.

Of course, they will exchange notes, and learn a few bad things from each other too.

OK.  After an hour spend on the tracks, it is time to clean up.

Why?  It is time for Wii.

So, no need to go to any huge venues, just few friends, few kids gathered around, and have fun, and it can kill the whole afternoon.  Even I also enjoy playing with these kids.  Especially when they have grown up, they know how to talk back, defends and give excuses.  It is fun!  hahaha

 

 

I Last Seen Her 13 Years Ago…

Almost 20 years ago, I can still remember this relative of "苏记" Chinese Groceries Stores and Restaurant at St. John's Newfoundland.  All of us, the foreigner students in Memorial University of Newfoundland becomes friends.  Lots of outings together.  All those memories.  Nice and fun!  Since we graduate, we only met once or twice which is 13 years ago.  I am glad that she visited Singapore, and our kids have some fun time together.  So after our lunch @ Long Beach East Coast Park, we spent about 2 hours at Polliwogs, a kids playground.  According to Loisa, in Hong Kong, there is not many such "public" playground for kids.  Most of them are clubs.

Introducing Yanni.  Louisa's daughter, who is 4 years old now.

The Balls

I covered my eyes, you cannot see me.

She seems to have lots of fun handling the machine gun.

She seems to lock on to a target...

Oh... Daddy staring at her.  "Who shoot the rubber balls at me?"

She said "Opps! Sorry Daddy!"

Yanni seems to be very happy playing with the machine gun.

Keep shooting her daddy and me.

And my son is helping her by keep going up and down to pick up the rubber bullets.
