Bangkok Trip Itinerary & Price

Date:  July 2, 2013

On Jun 21, the haze condition in Singapore were so bad.  The PSI went up to 400+.  So, that Friday evening, together with 2 other family of Jay's friends, we made a quick booking to fly to Bangkok on Sunday (Jun 23).

So, I quickly talk to my tour guide friend who used to book my golf flight in Bangkok.  Mr. Thomas Kum.

This is Thomas.  He is a Singaporean.  He has moved to Bangkok together with his wife for the last 10 years.  And they run a small tour agency, specialise in booking golf course, accommodations and transportation for golfers.  when I am in Bangkok, and I need to book golf flights, I will engage him to do it for me.

IMG 3599

I called up Thomas, and asked him if he can do tours for Children.  And he says YES.  So, I quickly asked him to come up with an itinerary so that I can asked the other two families.

 IMG 3951

This is the QR code of his name card.

IMG 3950

His service is very simple.  Booking the car for a whole day is SGD$200/day.  Once you book it, you can pay him in Thai Baht or Singapore Dollars.  You can wired the money to his bank account (Standard Chartered) in Singapore.

I like to book a van when travel, because it is convenient.  Can put things after shopping in the car, can rest in the car, etc.

My wife is in US, so, I decided to go with Jay and Kay.  All boys trip to Bangkok.

The itinerary is as followed.

Day 1.  Pick up from Airport.  Check in Hotel.  Visit Four Face Buddha.  Visit Ocean World.

Day 2.  Safari World.  Short break at Shopping Centre.  Dinner at Bussaracum.

Day 3.  Visit Holy Park.  Visit Crocodile Farm.  Short break at Shopping Centre.  River Cruise.

Day 4.  Visit Dream World.  Visit Madam Tussauds.  Dinner at Hotel (for me, babysit kids).

Day 5.  Huge Shopping centre at Bagna.  Go to Airport.

This is one of the two van we took.  Each van can sit 9 people exclude driver.

IMG 3403

We stay at Vie Hotel.  Very comfortable.  Of course, Thomas says, he got some other value for money hotel too.  Due to timing, we book this hotel on our own.  My room is about US$160 per night.  A big suite.

IMG 3425

This is the tickets pricing for most of the theme parks and zoo.  Madam Tusauds and Ocean World is about 1600 Baht per pax.  Kids is about 1300 Baht.

IMG 3735

Overall, we used 2 days to plan, and we have 5 full days of fun.

Bangkok: Dream World

Date:  July 1, 2013

When you travel with kids younger than 10 years old.  Always try to include a theme park in your itinerary.  For this trip, Dream World is the one we going.

IMG 3736

Here come the big mouth Superboy.

IMG 3740

Now they gone into the Giant House.  Before that, they went into the 4D Cinema, showing quite impressive 4D + 3D effects.  Kay Kay says "PaPa, I don't like this show.  Too scary!".  HaHaHa

Now, let them touch the golden eggs.

IMG 3780

So, Jay Jay went in with Conrad.

IMG 3776

Kids having fun riding the space car.  It is so fast, the G force is a bit high.  I got my head spinning after this.

IMG 3782

Kay Kay loves it.

IMG 3786

What are they waiting for?  something to drop from the sky?

IMG 3789

IMG 3793

Then, we pay a visit to Snow Town.

IMG 3798

Wow?  Isn't all these figures copy right protected?

IMG 3804

It is minus 6.5 degrees now.

IMG 3807

More car rides.  And this is the dangerous one.  Later watch the youtube for this.  jay and Conrad is > 120cm.  So, every time they pass by the lower beam, they have to lower their head.  hahaha interesting… they let them ride even > 120cm.  hahaha

IMG 3814

IMG 3818

Holywood stunt shows again.  Lots of fire and bombing.

IMG 3825

Bangkok: Crocodile Farm

Date:  July 1, 2013

After a short visit to the Holy Park.

We sat for an hour to get to Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo.

DSC04506

It is a smaller zoo then the Safari World.  First thing to do is to have the buffet lunch which has been arranged for us.

IMG 3625

And these are the main attractions.  Elephant fighting, Put your head into crocodile mouth, take photos with tigers and so on.

IMG 3626

I blog about this yesterday.  These are the two lovely tiger.

http://miniliew.blogspot.sg/2013/06/bangkok-i-am-freaking-scared-of-tigeere.html

DSC04475

And we sneaked behind of the tiger and take photos.  You can tell from Kay Kay's eye when he feel scare.  That is why I need to carry him.

DSC04480

The first show seating.

DSC04499

We are going to watch magic show.  OK.  WOW.  A magic show in a zoo.  What does that have to do with zoo again?  Of course, some of the magic act is to deal with animals.

DSC04503

This is the first time the kids ever watch a magic show.  Soon, their eyes going to pop out, and ask why why why.  Be prepared.

DSC04511

And old trick.  Pour milk into the newspaper cup.  And the milk is gone.  Kids started to guess what is going on.

DSC04512

Another old trick, pulling paper box bag from a small paper bag.  Kids eyes were confuse, but they like it!

DSC04514

And now, it start to get freaky.  An empty net catch a bird from the air.

Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/v/P9VMv9WGJ6I

All eyes are focus on the magic show now.

DSC04515

OK.  Where is that man?  Why he cut him into pieces?  No blood?

Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/v/ofL9BDgBksY

This is my favourite.  The guy just pour the water into the empty tank.

DSC04517

Then, he catch the fishes from the air and place it in the water where he just filled.  And hmmmm… still no fish.  Cover it with cloth… and then, wala wala, the tank is full of fish.  Please watch this youtube 10 times and tell me what do you think.

Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/v/J8W9AI6UKCE

Kids now start to give all kind of excuse, reasons, explanations.  All non scientific.  hahaha

DSC04518

The last act of the day.  A man lock inside the box, covered and tied inside a bag.  Magic cloth up, and then magic cloth down, that man is gone, the man inside the box pop outside.

DSC04521

Open the box, the magic man pops up.

DSC04522

Next show is the elephant show.

DSC04526

The elephant started to pull the stunt.  Now I understand why Thomas bring us here.  Because, they are explaining the history of elephant in ENGLISH.  I see.

DSC04529

No wonder.  It got a different feeling than the Safari World.  Where most languages used is in Thai.

DSC04531

This is the white elephant.

DSC04533

I love Thailand.

DSC04539

Now they are playing soccer.

DSC04542

I wonder how long they need to train the elephant to do so many tricks.

Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/v/VTMlNnuNUko

Lastly, a grand display of the war.

DSC04552

Using elephant to fight the war.  Notice that they all uses real swords in the battle and actions.

This is a great place for you to have lesser visitors, and got higher chances to take photos with elephants, tigers, and crocodiles.

Strongly recommend it.
