Kay Kay & TKD Yellow Belt

Date:  Dec 8, 2014

Last month, Kay Kay was promoted to yellow belt.

On that day, he was picked to perform on stage.

IMG 2890

Well, it is not exactly performing.  Rather, they are having their class on the stage @ Millenia Walk.

JH Kim have a ultimate black belt challenge later.  So, they bring the kids up stage and have lessons there.

Well, not all kids are picked.  They did not pick Jay Jay.

So, Kay Kay was proud to be on stage.

When Kay Kay is on stage, you can see that he is very well behave.

Punching.

He also kick very well when he is on stage.  Of course, there are some audiences there too.

Here he performed the front kick.

Not too bad for a 5 year old.

Here, he performed the side kick.

You can see that he put in efforts in every kick.

And lastly, teacher thank them for coming up stage.

Sorry Kay Kay.  Daddy and mommy actually lost all the photos for this change belt ceremony.  We will get it from uncle Terrence.

I think the reason is we just change to iPhone6, and the backup are not done correctly and we might deleted some photos on that day.

:(  Wahahahahahaha

Don’t worry, your years yet to come.  Many more change belt ceremony to come.

Taking Airport Link to MRT (Subway) in Bangkok

Date:  May 21, 2013

Most of the time when I visit Bangkok, I am like fly in fly out, light backpack, no luggage.

So, it is important to schedule meetings and schedule your way to the airport.

Taking Taxi/Limousine will always have a risk, so you always end up reaching the Airport more than 2 hours earlier.

What I did is I take the Airport Link from the airport.  (not the Old Airport).

It is located at the basement, and look for RED SIGN to Makkasan.  RED means EXPRESS.  There are two types of train.  NON-EXPRESS and EXPRESS.

The EXPRESS train is non-stop reaching Makkasan station.  It cost 90Baht to take this express train.  It takes about 15 minutes to reach Makkasan.

NewImage

The NON-EXPRESS train will stop 4 stops before it reach Makkasan.  I takes about slightly less than 25 minutes to reach Makkasan.  But it cost 4 times cheaper, I think.  That is why I think why the locals don't usually take the express train.  Because it is 4 times more expensive.  As you can see in the picture, The train I am taking around 9 plus at night is almost empty front and back.

The blue color NON-Express train is called City Line Service.

IMG 1855

When you reach Makkasan station, the station is huge and empty.

IMG 1856

Once you reach Makkasan, there is a 3-5 minutes walk from the station to cross the road to Phetchaburi MRT station.  It is just come out from the building, and then walk to the edge, and cross  the road, and the take escalator down to the MRT station.

Of course, you can pay more to get to Phaya Thai Station (next stop to Makkasan) and there it interconnect with BTS sky train.

NewImage

Once you are in Phetchaburi MRT, you can reach almost any named hotel destinations that you want to go.  Very convenient, and you know you will not miss your flight by taking the MRT.

So, next time when you are in Bangkok, try this!

The Big Walk - Very Tired After the Walk...

Date:  Nov 7, 2011

Today is the big walk.  Mommy has gone to US for work.  So, it is me and J & K.

I think it is imporant if we do this once.  And I am sure Jay Jay is proud of the achievement he has done today.  He walked non stop from Vivo City to the finishing line.  As for me, I end up carrying 20KG on my arms going back to the train station.  And I queue up for the water, queue up for the goodie bags, and queue up for the train.  It was very tiring, but all of this is worth it.  We took lots of photos.  We saw Friends there.  It was fun!

I wake at 5:30AM to prepare every thing.  At 6:15AM, I have to wake the kids up "slowly".  By 6:30AM, we were in the car going towards Vivocity.

This is our first WALKaton.  Jay & Kay are very excited.  It is a 4KM walk passing thru the Universal Studio.

Some 18,000 people are gathered here.  As you can see the queue is going back to the vivo city.

IMG_6960.JPG

OK.  Where is Tony Tan???  Please don't let us wait.  Flag the thing now!

IMG_6958.JPG

When you have a nice shot of both of them, then, you cannot see the Universal Studio globe.

IMG_0389.jpg

When you have good clear view of the Universal Studio globe, both the boys are looking at girls.

IMG_0391.jpg
