Kay's Cut Hair Diary - 剪发日志 Sep 2011

Today, it is our hair cut day.  It is very lucky that Kimarie is just finished their rennovation, and our hairdresser - Ice is going to Kabri Thailand to celebrate her birthday.  So, it is a good day to cut our hair.

This is Jay & Kay's before haircut long hair...

And as usual, Jay Jay loves to cut hair and wash hair.  So, he goes first.  This is his finishing look.  Not too bad.

As for Kay.  We have do more work.  We set up a iPad in front of him, playing his favorite show - Pokoyo & Thomas the train.

And we let him sit on Mommy's lap and have his hair cut.  Ice is fast & quick, and have to take every single opportunity to cut little Kay's hair.

As you can see, he still scare of the itchy feeling of the hair dropping onto his neck.  Keep moving here and there.

Finally, it is done.  I think this is the first time, he has his "complete" hair cut.

Not too bad at all.

And Kay is now looking even more handsome.

A great success.  Not bad for a 2 years old.

Kay Has Stopped Crying During Hair Cut

Today, we have quite a success story ... It's our monthly family hair cut day.  Again, we went to Kimarie, a hair salon in Suntec City.

As usual, Jay Jay will have his hair cut first, and Kay Kay will sit beside him and watch.  Then, it will be my turn.  This is after we had our lunch.  And Kay Kay had his power nap (1.5 hours).

As usual, when ICE 姐姐 cut the hair, mommy will also pretend cutting Kay Kay hair at the back.

So, when ICE 姐姐 cut Kay's hair, we all were surprise that Kay Kay stay calm, and try very hard to stay still.  Oh ya, the plastic bag he is holding is his reward.  We told Kay only when he cut his hair and don't cry, then, we will reward him that.

As you can see, sometimes is very itchy when the hair drop onto your neck.

Don't forget your gadget, let him watch a video ... distract him a little...

As promise, if you cut your hair without tears and crying... we will let you wear the Angry Bird t-shirts.

OK.  In additional, we let him eat the Ice Cream cone.

So, what is the secret again?

1.  Must sleep, take a power nap before the hair cut.

2.  Must promise to give him a present.  In this case, Angry Bird t-shirt.

3.  Must feed him an ice cream cone (his favorite) before and reward him another one after.

4.  Must sit beside Jay Ko-Ko to watch every single details.

5.  Daddy & Jay Jay must help too.

6.  Must distract him with a movie or cartoon on the iPhone.

What a big success!  And we had a great time cutting hair today!

Kay Kay & His Hair Cut

We have no problem with Jay Jay when we sent him for a hair cut as young as when he is 2 years old.  When Ice (name of the hairdresser) cut his hair, he just keep talking talking and playing the hair clips.

For Kay Kay, it needs a little bit more of work...

Ya Ya... Don't look at papa, focus and let 姐姐 cut your hair... hahahahaha

His hairdresser this time has to give him a lot of things in order to cut his hair... So, Kay took her mobile phone, which is a Samsung model, that does not have a "HOME" button to press, so, it takes him 7-8 minutes to figure out how to unlock the keylock, and press the side buttons.  She has to give Kay her watch, and Kay also took Mommy's watch and wear it on his wrist.  Hair clips is another great toys for him.  New Cartoon on the phone can excite him for 2-3 minutes.  And thank goodness that the hairdresser has a quick hand and cut his hair.
