Kite Outing at West Coast Park

Today and tomorrow is Kite Festival day.  There is a kite event down town at the Marina Bay Promenade.  To support this event, we fly kites!  Not necessary at the Marina Bay there, because it will be jammed packed (traffic jam, car park jam, and kite jam).  Two years ago, we lost my favourite Doggy kite at Marina Bay Promenade there...

We got two new kites today.  One is the Angry Bird kite.

And the other is the butterfly kite.  (Thanks Kay Kay for holding the kite for me!  I know it is taller than you!)

So, how do we do this time?  It is windless day.  That means, no wind, very hard to fly kite.  No wonder not many people fly kite at 5PM.

Jay Jay was having lots of fun running with the kite flying.  hahaha I think we should do this often.  Then, can bring down his weight.

By the way, West Coast Park is a fun place for kids to go.  Adults also play a lot of sports here.

Such as these Indians who is playing beach volleyballs.  They are pretty good.

When you are tired, you can sit down and watch the sea.

Or, look into the sky.

We brought the boys bicycle along.  

And Jay Jay should be by now more comfortable with the bicycle already.

The boys are happily cycling chasing each other.  Next project is to make Kay Kay on pedals.  HaHaHaHaHa May be 2 years later?

Kite Festival 2011

Don't forget today & tommorrow is Kite Festival.

Date: 03 Sep 2011, Saturday - 04 Sep 2011, Sunday 
Time: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM 
Venue: The Promontory @ Marina Bay, 11 Marina Boulevard, Singapore 018940

So, you got a few options:

Option 1.  Go there.  Fly Kite.

Option 2.  Drive pass there.  U-Turn, drive pass there again.  and again.

Option 3.  Fly Kite @ Marina Barrage or West Coast Park.  Any time.

Option 4.  Do nothing.  (Boo!)

Jay Jay going to show you different way to fly Kite.  Sun is so bright, so, close your eyes.  But one hand hold the string so that you got the feel that your kite is still flying.

This is the two hands method.

Next, is the lie down cross your leg fly kite mode.

Lie flat two hands mode.

The top one is my kite, and the other is Kay Kay.  WHAT?  Kay Kay also flying kite?

Huh?  Excuse me?  Why I cannot fly kite again?

Show you two finger method.  I am better than Jay Jay.

Now, the backward running mode.

I can do much more pattern than my Ko Ko.

More kites in the sky now.

So, go outdoor, bring your kids to the Kite Festivals.  I know there is a Comex show.  But nothing much.  All HP Touch Pad has been sold out.  Happy Kite-ing.
