JP-Day2 Ryokan Dinner #1

Date: Mar 23, 2012

This is the Ryokan we stayed in Ever since we stayed at Kansuiro at Hakone last year, we have decided to try to stay at Ryokan if possible. Reason is obvious, got free breakfast and dinner, and got onsen.

Let's see what do they offer for tonight dinner.

Wow! A long list

This is the front dish.

A very unique BBQ beans.

Quite tasty!

Some sea shells or clams. Quite chewy.

The fish taste good. A bit sweet sweet with lots of fish taste.

Fried shrimp under some veggie sauce.

This is another kind of fish.

Clam soup. 清淡.

The Tuna is fresh, sweet and fat! Accompanied by the Sakura flower.

The Sashimi set.

Some sort of scallop.

Ok, Kay Kay is enjoying.

All the decos are real flower and real leaf.

The food is served according to order at a reasonable pace.

Some BBQ snails, bacon, asparagus and so on.

The snail taste very nice and chewy.

We ordered some Sake 八海山.

It wrapped fresh fish inside the tofu like wrapper, with mushroom soup.

Fried crab paste with real fresh tomato sauce.

The marinated stuffs.

I wonder whats underneath the Fuji-San cover?

It's braised beef. Very nice.

The bamboo shoot rice.

The Miso soup.

And lastly, the desserts. The honey rock melon is very sweet and juicy.

I always enjoy the Ryokan food. These are food that you normally can't get from restaurant.

This is only the first meal, let's wait and see what surprise for the breakfast and the next dinner.
