Cook with Ken: My Chinese Pork Belly Mussels Broccoli Mushroom Paella (PBMBMP)

Jay Jay said after his swimming class, "PaPa, I am very hungry!"

So, I went into the kitchen and look into the fridge to see what I can cook.

Ingredients:

1.  Pork Belly.

Cut into slices.  Marinate with sesami oil, soya sauce, white pepper, a bit of flour.

2.  I bought two packets of these mussels.

Clean it, wash it.

3.  Brocolli.  Cut it.

4.  Some mushroom.  Cut into slices.

5.  Some Gingers slices.  Also some white onions.  (Red or yellow onion is fine, white onion is sweeter).

6.  3 cups of white rice.

Cooking Steps:

A.  Heat up the wok.

B.  When the wok is hot, pour in some oil, as well as sesami oil.

C.  When the oil + sesami oil is heated up, put in the gingers and onions.  Stir fry it.

D.  Put in the pork belly slices.  Stir fry it until meat become white color.

E.  Put in the Brocoli and mushrooms.  Stir fry it.

F.  Put in the Rice.  Stir fry it.

G.  Pinch some salt, put in.  Some White pepper.

H.  Put everything into the rice cooker.  Pour in 2-3 cup of water.  Close the cover and cook the rice just like how you normally cook the rice.  Make sure the water is enough.

Hey!  I thought you say, you are cooking Paella?

Yes, I don't have that Paella pan lah.  Use the rice cooker is the same!

I.  When the rice cooker is cooked.  Open the cover, and stir it a bit.  And then close the cover to let it rest.

Once done, you can smell the very aromatic smell.

It is very healthy with a balance of everything.  Although I used a lot of sesami oil and oil to cook it, the rice itself is not so oily.  It is just nice.  Does

Pair it with an aromatic white wine.  Give some white pepper into the rice, and it mixed well.

Opps... I ate two big plate.

No exact recipient, simply a dish just created out of a rush as Jay Jay is hungry.  Cooking time is max at 15 min.  And let the rice cooker do the job.  :)
